Roller Mill HLW-2

The roller mill type HLW-2A is intended for intensive milling of grain like wheat, rye, maize etc. as well as other products of vegetable and mineral origin.

 

Construction

Basic elements of the roller mill are:

  • welded steel body with inlet opening and outlet hooper
  • feeding roll unit with drive by means of moto-reducer
  • Thanks to it after applying inverter it is possible to adjust the rotations of the feeding roll, hanging i this way the amount of product fed to the milling gap. The amount of product may be also adjusted by changing the size of the feeding gap with the dial clock outside the roller mill body
  • units of milling Rolls with precise setting of milling gap by means of a handwheel
  • inter-roll gear transmissions with gears installed on ringfedder type locking device facilitate assembly and disassembly
  • inspection door
  • sight glasses
  • side covers
  • driving units
  • automatic control system


For protection of the personnel the inspection door, the sight glasses and the side covers are equipped with locks. The roller mill is equipped with samplers allowing to take samples of product (during work).

Operation principle

Product to be broken up flows through charging hopper and is distributed along the whole length of the feeding gap. Feeding roll takes the product and passes it to the milling gap of the first stage. The product flow depends on the speed of the feeding roll and setting of the milling gap. The fineness depends on the setting of the milling gap. Then the product falls to the milling gap of second milling section (applies only to rolles mill HLW-2) and finally to the outlet hopper.

Turning on and switching off the feeding roll as well engaging and disengaging of the rolls occurs automatically when the proper amount of product appears in the hopper.
